Feelunique.com – Review

Hi,

Today I will be reviewing an international beauty website called feelunique.com. It is a United Kingdom based online beauty retailer with over 300 brands to choose from. There were two to three international websites that I wanted to try and on reading reviews feelunique.com fared best. Also the fact that they provide free international delivery for orders above £10 (approx. Rs.1000) was an added bonus.

The website is easy to navigate, you can search products according to categories, brands or a direct search. The footer section of the webpage has all company, shipping, account and support related links. I have not had to contact their support team so can’t comment on that. The usual dispatch time for all orders is one day and estimated delivery time for free International Post is 7-14 days for countries outside Europe. I received an order dispatch email in less than 24 hours of order placement and the products were delivered within 7 days. The order arrived via post and the only hitch was that the parcel was left with the building guard and not delivered to the flat. I am impressed with the delivery time.

feelunique package

I had ordered for three products and all three arrived in a single package. It was a soft cardboard brand package with an attached bill containing weight and VAT information as well. The product charges on the website are inclusive of all taxes. The inside of the box contained an itemized bill. The products were placed in the box with individual plastic wraps and thermocol pellets for safety. None of the products I ordered were fragile so the packaging was not a problem but I wonder if they add more wrapping layers for products like eye-shadow palletes.

Indianroots.in – Review

Hi,

In a previous post on Sharara I had paired up a jacket and a sharara from an Indian ethnic wear website indianroots.in. I had ordered the set for myself too and following are my views on the website and the products.

Indianroots is an NDTV venture with a vision to connect Indians to their roots with a selectively curated product range of high-end designer wear, hand crafted home linen and exquisite accessories. This was the first time I had ordered ethnic wear online, I am wary of buying Indianwear without having physically seen the garments since it is very easy to be duped about the quality. Especially having worked in the ethnic wear industry I have realised how details like the fabric weight, embroidery quality and stitching finishes can make all the difference to the outfit. Thankfully this purchase turned out to be just about satisfactory atleast.

The outer packaging.

I had placed my order in the last week of November and the dispatch time stated was 14 days for the sharara and 22 days for the jacket. In the start it did seem too long for a ready-to-wear garment but Indianroots finally shipped it in 6 days. I received both the garments in separate couriers in a gap of 1 day. The parcel arrived in cardboard boxes with the garments being effectively wrapped in layers of plastic cover, tissue paper and bubble paper. A special mention to the tissue paper it had ‘Hello’ printed in various Indian languages. 😀
