It’s the end of the month and I though of sharing a few articles, items and designs I have been loving this August.
1. BoF Education
The London based publication Business of Fashion has launched a new section of its site, BoF Education. In addition to a Forbes-like ranking of fashion schools and new pieces of writing examining the state of fashion education, the section also includes free fashion “courses”.
BlabberCat is a blog by Astha Modi from Kolkata. The day I came across her website I was hooked and went through almost the entire archives. She and her associates write about Kolkata’s social and shopping events along with a section dedicated to travelling. I appreciate their effort in making Kolkata not-so-boring anymore.
3. Branding by Olivia King
This was my favorite Pin- geometric patterns with gorgeous pastel colours. Olivia King a Sydney-based designer is behind this branding for a jewellery company that let’s customers design their own wooden jewellery using an app.
4. Article- 40 Important Milestones In your Life Besides Getting Married
Thought Catalog always provides with some amazing articles! This month I loved their milestone article, especially when most people around me are the’marriageable age’. There is so much more to look forward to in life- like buying your own car, reaching a point where you care more about character, cooking an entire meal for dinner guests and more.
5. Forever 21
I loved these faux leather cut-out boots. The panelling in the front, the double buckles and the pointed front! They would be a comfort even in the mild winters of Kolkata.
6. Ritu Kumar Short Dress
Label by Ritu Kumar has a few treasures every now and then. I love how the brand mixes Indian prints and embroideries with western silhouettes. In this particular dress I liked the sleeve edge detailing, the colour combination and when I tried it on it fit’s perfectly .
7. L’Oreal Paris True Match Concealer
I recently purchased this L’Oreal concealer and have been using it regularly since. I love how it blends into the skin and the slight red undertone helps cover dark-circles pretty well.
8. Debashree Banerjee and Aashna Shroff’s Video
Debashree Banerjee and Aashna Shroff have their individual channels on YouTube and I enjoyed their collaboration videos this month. The best part was the fact that Debashree and Aashna have very different skin types so the products they discussed covered both oily and dry skin types.
9. Top Pick from Fashion Weeks
AM:PM’s Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive was one of my favorite collections among the numerous fashion shows held in August. I love their clean silhouettes, use of a limited colour palette and the placement of their embroidery designs.
10. Blog’s Mini Success this August
Last but not the least is a small personal achievement. In the past few days this blog has seen a rise in traffic (pageviews by individuals). An average of 280 people visiting my blog everyday ! 😀
Let me know what have you been loving this month! 🙂
